OUR INITIATIVES

We firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to travel and explore the beautiful tourist attractions of South Africa, including the elderly. Therefore, we are inviting tourism and travel stakeholders, service providers, and individuals to join us in our mission to take a group of pensioners on day trips during the year-end period in 2024/2025.

For many of these pensioners, this will be their first time traveling outside of their disadvantaged areas and experiencing the joys of new places. If you would like to participate and help us achieve our goal, please send an email to:

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

Sustainable tourism is essential for preserving our planet’s natural and cultural treasures while ensuring that local communities benefit from tourism. Here are some of the things we do by Choosing Sustainable Alternatives:

  • We produce all our travel Curios locally and fully support local artisans and entrepreneurs.
  • We believe in local empowerment and skills transfer amongst our tourism service providers.
  • We cultivate inner-community tourism development.
  • Opt for locally owned accommodations instead of bigger hotel chains ( where possible ).
  • Buy local products to support local communities and reduce transportation impact.
  • Say NO to illegal trade in wildlife products or souvenirs made from endangered species.
  • Support sustainable options when visiting certain destinations, which are often vulnerable ecosystems.
  • Take care of heritage places by respecting historical sites and cultural landmarks.
  • Support community-based tourism initiatives that empower local communities and preserve their way of life.

Remember, our individual choices collectively shape the future of travel. By making conscious decisions, we can contribute to a more sustainable and responsible tourism industry.
